Kalte on “Quiet Drones 4”

We are very pleased to announce that a new version of our track “Offworld” is part of the latest compilation from Paper+Sound. “Quiet Drones 4” is the latest in their ongoing comp series, and features music from our good friends Atonement, Chromosphere, dreamSTATE and Heiki. The theme of the collection is winter cold so it’s a very logical fit for us, and we’re truly flattered to be in the company of such wonderfully talented artists.

Find out more at the Paper+Sound blog or listen to a 30 minute super ambient mix of all four tracks by Heiki on the Paper+Sound Soundcloud page.

We are very pleased to have received a review of “Fissures’ from the always excellent Hypnagogue Music Reviews site. Describing it as “a stunning density of isolationist ambient sound, chillingly cold and marginally disturbing”, reviewer John Shanahan writes an insightful and thoughtful piece that nicely captures the essence of “Fissures“. Thanks John!

Update to Steven Severin Show

We’ve received word that the Steven Severin show at the Drake Underground on August 28th (and the rest of his North American tour) has been canceled for personal reasons.

The Sound is Watching You

Dearest kaltenfriends,

We’ve spent most of the summer hard at work in our studio space in Antarctica and now we are very pleased to announce a new project which we will be presenting as SubZeroArts.

“The Sound is Watching You” is a multimedia soundart installation that will be part of Scotiabank Nuit Blanche 2011 on October 1st in Toronto, Ontario. We’re very excited about this opportunity and we encourage you to visit the SubZeroArts site to learn more about the installation and to find out how you can help make “The Sound is Watching You” happen.
